I don't usually like to use my blogs to promote web sites I am working on, but I need this one indexed fast and I think you guys could appreciate this service and I can talk a bit about what went into the design. Designandprinttshirts.com is the first site I have ever tried PHP on, and it really simplifies the design and editing process.
We used PHP for the top navigation, footer, and the left and right side panels. PHP includes are SO much faster and easier for editing content. While CSS can change the look of the content that is displayed throughout the web site, PHP allows us to quickly change links sitewide by simply changing them in the site's include files.
We also used a javascript splash image rather than Flash because of the ease of editing. With Flash we would have to swap images in the swiff file, but now we can just upload new images to the images folder and the splash is changed. This way we get to spend more time designing in Photoshop rather than messing with Flash. From an SEO point of view, the javascript is much better because each image swap has an alt tag.
By changing all the pages on the web site to .php rather than .html it opens the doors later on down the road for us to expand the functionality of the web site. We can add more features like file uploads and data collection to any page we want.
We played a lot with javascript on this site and if you check out the FAQ page of the web site you will see we have a roll-over Q&A section that works really nice.
Well now all that is left is to get traffic to the site, but that is for my other blog.

Great video about the evolution of the web
I don't usually dig around on YouTube, but I found this video and thought I would share it with you.
